For any humanist such an incident would cause indescribable grief. But at the same time creating disturbances (aśānti)[,] indiscipline[,] and expressing outrage (akroś) is not the solution.

A world of grief and pain

Every Afghan story is marked by death and loss and unimaginable grief. And yet, she sees, people find a way to survive, to go on.

It's terrible when the old have to bury the young. But it is more terrible when neither the old nor the young are there to bury each other.
