Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan is an American singer-songwriter whose work grew from deep engagement with folk music, blues, and the influence of Woody Guthrie. After moving into New York’s folk scene, he signed with producer John Hammond and released his debut album, *Bob Dylan*, in 1962. His songwriting later earned him the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature, recognizing his contribution to the American song tradition.
