Fenner Brockway

Fenner Brockway was a British socialist politician, journalist, and campaigner whose work connected parliamentary politics with anti-war, anti-colonial, and racial-justice causes. He edited the Independent Labour Party’s Labour Leader, helped lead the No-Conscription Fellowship during the First World War, and later served as a Labour MP and life peer. In Parliament, he was an early advocate of legislation against racial discrimination and remained active in campaigns for peace, disarmament, and colonial freedom.
