Fireball Roberts

Edward Glenn “Fireball” Roberts Jr. was an American stock-car racer and one of NASCAR’s first major stars. Racing primarily in the 1950s and early 1960s, he won 33 premier-series races, including the 1962 Daytona 500 and two Southern 500s. His career ended after a 1964 crash at Charlotte, and he was later inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame as part of its 2014 class.
