Geoffrey Hinton

Geoffrey Hinton is a British-Canadian computer scientist and psychologist whose research helped establish artificial neural networks as practical tools for machine learning. At the University of Toronto, he developed influential methods including the Boltzmann machine and helped advance deep learning. He shared the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics for foundational discoveries and inventions enabling machine learning with artificial neural networks.
