Gina Rinehart

Gina Rinehart is an Australian business leader who became executive chairman of Hancock Prospecting in 1992 after the death of her father, mining entrepreneur Lang Hancock. Under her leadership, the privately owned company expanded across mining, agriculture and related industries, including major iron-ore projects such as Hope Downs and Roy Hill. Rinehart has also supported sporting, community and philanthropic initiatives, and was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2022 for distinguished service to mining, community philanthropy and sport.
