John Amos Comenius

John Amos Comenius was a Czech educational reformer, philosopher, writer, and religious leader whose work helped shape modern teaching. He promoted instruction that was practical, accessible, and attentive to how children learn. His influential textbooks included Janua Linguarum Reserata and Orbis Sensualium Pictus, the latter combining pictures with Latin and vernacular text to teach language and knowledge.
