Kimberlé Crenshaw

Kimberlé Crenshaw is a legal scholar whose work helped establish critical race theory and brought the concept of intersectionality into legal and public debate. Her scholarship examines how race, gender, and other forms of inequality can overlap, especially in the experiences of women of color. She is a professor at UCLA and Columbia Law School and co-founded the African American Policy Forum.
