María Elena Medina-Mora Icaza

María Elena Medina-Mora Icaza is a Mexican psychologist whose research examines mental health, substance use, and addiction from social and population-health perspectives. She directed Mexico’s National Institute of Psychiatry Ramón de la Fuente Muñiz from 2008 to 2018 and has held academic roles at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. A member of El Colegio Nacional since 2006, she has contributed extensively to psychological and public-health research through articles, books, and policy-focused studies.
