Ziembinski

Ziembinski, born Zbigniew Ziembiński in Wieliczka, Poland, became a major actor and director in Brazil after establishing his career there. His 1943 staging of Nelson Rodrigues’s *Vestido de Noiva* is widely associated with the emergence of modern Brazilian theatre. He also worked across film and television, influencing generations of Brazilian performers before his death in Rio de Janeiro in 1978.
