Understanding this quote
The speaker presents two things at once: an olive branch, a familiar sign of peace, and a freedom-fighter’s gun, a sign of armed struggle. The contrast says that the speaker is offering peace without giving up the ability to resist. “Do not let the olive branch fall” is a plea to protect the chance for peace rather than allow conflict to destroy it.
