Understanding this quote
The speaker describes being extremely thin—“like a skewer”—and almost transparent. The line then turns that description into a wordplay: the name “Čkalja” is presented as growing out of “čaklja,” the word for skewer. Its humor comes from linking a physical trait with the sound and shape of a name.
